The new Golden Eaglets head coach Emmanuel Amuneke has commended the
nation's U-17 team after beating the Super Falcons, 6-0 in a friendly
game on Friday at NFF/FIFA Goal project field.
Amuneke after the game explained that the lads have substance he can
build upon in the days ahead, but insisting that despite their
performances, none of them is guaranteed an automatic shirt in the the
team yet.
"We are impressed not because of the number of the goals we scored but
because the boys have started showing what they have been learning in
the last few days," said the former African Footballer of the Year.
"The level of their performance is encouraging and it is our duty to
demand more from them but there is substance to build upon from these
boys."mtnfootball
The match gave the Eagles' coaching crew an opportunity assess their new
recruits under match situation and they responded well, while
experimenting with most of the players he fielded in the game.
