72nd #UNGA: What Buhari Told World Leaders At UN General Assembly (Full Speech)
It would be recalled, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, had last week Friday said that the “President Buhari will transit through London on his way back to the country”.
Yesterday, he told newsmen that the president is expected to spend only four days in London after which he will return to Nigeria.
Responding to an inquiry via a text message, the President’s spokesman told The Punch that “We just landed in London. The President is in transit; to be back in Nigeria on Monday.”

The Nigerian leader had returned to the country from the UK, where he received medical treatment, on August 19, after spending almost 104 days in London.
It remains yet to be seen if he is “transiting” through London for another round of medical treatment, after his previous prolonged medical leave spurred protests in Nigeria and London which forced him to abruptly return.

JAMB Reveals “Candidates” Who Will Get 2017/2018 Admission

JAMB, CBT, UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that for any candidate to be offered admission in 2017/2018 session, he/she must meet the combination of JAMB cut-off marks, post-UTME, ‘O’ level results and other admission criteria as determined by the institution of choice.
JAMB Publishes Cut Off Marks For All Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges Of Education In Nigeria (FULL LIST)
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, made this known on Thursday at a Training and Sensitization Forum on Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for admission offers, candidates and stakeholders on in Abuja.
Oloyede said that scoring higher than the minimum cut-off marks did not guarantee admission, though it does make candidates eligible for admission consideration.
He said: “Scoring higher than the cut-off mark does not guarantee admission but makes the candidate eligible for admission consideration. It is not UTME that qualifies the person. It is O level, A level that qualifies a person for admission.

“That is why you can go from here to UK, you can go to Ghana, Uganda, Republic of Benin, nobody ask you of your UTME, they ask for your O level because by law it is the school cert that qualifies you not JAMB.”
According to him, the cut-off mark by JAMB is only a threshold below which no institution can admit candidates.
“JAMB is not an examination body; rather, it is a ranking body. If there are enough spaces in the tertiary institutions, there may not be need for UTME.
“JAMB is a screening body to rank already qualified candidates. It is a coordinating and clearing house.
“The cut-off mark is not a pass or fail mark. It is not the total score but one of many factors such as post-UTME (where applicable), ‘O’ Level results scoring, etc.,” he added.
He also warned that JAMB will not tolerate illegal admissions by any higher institution, adding that students admitted illegally won’t be regularised anymore.
He continued: “We know that we have abused the process. What we have been doing is to send N5,000 each to JAMB in the name of regularization without capturing their picture, without capturing anything. You pay N5,000 and then they are regularized.”
“We have not stopped to do backlog but from 2016 upward we will not allow anybody to do backdoor admission. Anybody that is not properly admitted cannot benefit from regularization.”

13 Highway Kidnappers Arrested, 18 Guns Recovered

The police have arrested members of two notorious kidnap gangs along the Abuja-Kaduna highway and recovered two AK 47 rifles, 16 locally-made guns, cutlasses and charms.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, said in a statement that 13 of the hoodlums were paraded at Jere along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Thursday.

The suspects included the leader, Umar Babuga, 27; Umaru Kiri, 26; Abdullahi Tambaya; Abdulkarim Musa, 27; Isah Musa, 30, and others.

Moshood said the arrests were the result of the deployment of additional two units of special police forces in the road to complement ‘Operation Absolute Sanity’ on the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

He added that the new units, which were relocated to some roads around the Jere-Abuja areas, arrested the suspects in their hideouts and camps and also rescued some of their victims.

The FPPRO added, “In the operation that is still ongoing, two different vicious and notorious kidnap-for-ransom gangs were dislodged in their hideouts and camps between Jere-Kaduna and Jere-Abuja axis.

“A total of 13 suspected kidnappers were arrested in the operation and they confessed to the offence and admitted to the various criminal roles they played in the commission of the crime.”

Moshood stated that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had directed the Assistant IGPs and commissioners of police in the zones and commands to replicate the same anti-kidnap operation on the highways and major roads in other parts of the country.

“They are also to beef up security in their areas of responsibilities and ensure massive deployment of armed police personnel, patrol teams and undercover operatives in black spots, flashpoints and other vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud all forms of crimes and criminality nationwide,” the police spokesman said.

Kim, Kourtney, Khloe & Kris Jenner 'Sued For $32 m For Failing To Pay Former Marketer Share Of Profits'

The former CEO of a celebrity beauty company is seeking as much as $32 million from the Kardashians over their Kardashian Beauty line.

TMZ reported Thursday that John LaBonty, who headed up Boldface that launched the line, alleges Kim, Khloe and Kourtney along with momager Kris Jenner failed to pay him an agreed five percent share of profits from their beauty products.

The reality TV family had a deal with Boldface to market the beauty products and although the company was acquired by another company in 2014, Labonty says he's still entitled to millions of dollars in profits.

In 2016, Hillair sued  the reality stars for breach of contract, fraud, deceit, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and negligent misrepresentation.

The firm said the Kardashians and Jenner had reneged on an agreement to promote the line on their social media platforms to their millions of followers and sued for $180 million, ET reported at the time.

'After acting in good faith for over a year and a half to support and finance the venture with the Kardashians while the Kardashians did nothing but undermine it, Hillair was finally left with no choice but to bring this action,' the suit stated.

An attorney for Kim Kardashian told ET in response: 'The lawsuit is a disgrace. It is a jumble of false accusations which will be exposed as lies.'

Brazen thief walks into a luxury car workshop in South Africa and drives off with Rolls Royce Phantom

An unidentified thief who has been described by the media as 'brazen', stole a Rolls Royce Phantom from vehicle wrap installer located at The Glen Shopping Mall, Johannesburg on Wednesday afternoon.
The luxury car was found by police two hours later abandoned near a house in Riverlea.
Paul Maleke of Luxuries Wraps said the suspect came into the workshop claiming he was sent to collect the car by its owner.
The man then walked around the workshop while the crew attended to other cars. The next minute‚ the Luxuries Wraps team saw the car driving away from the workshop.
“Wrapping was already done when this man came in. We don’t know how he got the keys but we immediately called the owner as he drove off. The owner told us that he did not send anyone to collect the car. We then reported the matter to the police‚” said Maleke.

JMPD spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said police were led to the car by information from a member of public who spotted it speeding on the N12 freeway after it had been reported stolen.
“The suspect left the car in Riverlea and fled on foot as JMPD officers approached. The car was found in good condition. We believe it is worth more than R5-million. It will go through a verification process before it can be handed back to its rightful owner who is known to the police‚” said Minnaar.
Brixton police spokeswoman Constable Phumi Kraai confirmed that the car has been recovered and will be handed back to its owner soon.
Police are searching for the suspect.

Britain's biggest family The Radfords have welcomed baby NUMBER 20 - and and vow the little boy will be their last.

"It’s strange knowing you’re not going to have any more.

"Our daughter Chloe said: ‘I believe you now.’ I don’t think she has before, but because I’ve said (this is the last) a few times now she does."

Sue and Noel face a monumental task each day just to feed, clothe and ferry about their huge brood.

The couple, who featured in the reality show '19 Kids And Counting', were relaxed about another mouth to feed when asked earlier this year.

Dipo Liadi Congratulates Opeifa On His Appointment As FCT Secretary Of Transportation

The Tv/Radio sport personality and politician has hailed the appointment of  Com. Kayode Opeifa as the new  FCT (Abuja) Secretary of Transportation. Dipo Liadi said the appointment of Com. Kayode Opeifa is highly based on merit. The vast talking journalist declared on a radio programme that the works of Kayode Opeifa during his tenure as the Special Adviser and Commissioner to the Governor on Transportation under former Governor Babatunde Fashola during the two tenures speaks volumes for the highly enlightened former Lagos Commissioner for Transportation.

"Who can forget the effectiveness of LASTMA during Opeifa's regime, the establishment of Traffic radio, the numerous Traffic lights, Lane markings, the introduction of private cabs and several other developments" Dipo Liadi added.

The appointment of Opeifa furthermore shows that hardwork pays as everyone close to him can testify to his love for the job. I can recount an experience when we went to clear a fallen street light poll on 3rd Mainland bridge around 2am. That very day the comrade was set to leave for his house after an hard day of work before he got a call around 11.30pm on a Sunday evening that a pole had fallen on 3rd Mainland bridge. He made calls to the officers concerned to make fast arrangement in order to clear it up which the officers carried out immediately but the ever working Opeifa also made sure he giot to the scene.

Dipo further said the appointment is a victory for Opeifa, Lagos State, Nigeria, APC and the thousands of followers behind the brand Opeifa. He also congratulated President Buhari and the FCT Minsiter Malam Muhammed Musa Bello for appointing the man who has the solution to transportation. He also encouraged the people of Abuja to brace up as transportation will certainly move to great heights.

I say BIG CONGRATS to you sir.

Meet Klem, the guy behind Davido, Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay’s hit songs

The name Klem or Ikemefunna Nwanbonye doesn’t ring a bell to the average Nigerian music lover but hit songs like Sade by Davido, Yolo by Seyi Shay, Nackam by Yemi Alade, Applaudise and Gift by Iyanya are well-known songs.

Meet the serial hit songwriter who has been behind some of your favourite Nigerian pop songs. Klem, as he’s fondly called in this chat, talks about songwriting in Nigeria, his gains, trouble and aspiration.

Songwriting in the music industry

The song writing thing has not been that easy. The journey is not easy at all because the writing thing is not yet in Nigeria. Why I said it’s not easy is that people use your items at times and they don’t give you credit. You have to do much more so they can give you credit. It is not easy but when I started it was not easy and now by God’s grace, it’s paying.

Challenges faced so far

The challenges I have been facing is just the credit part. You write songs of people and they withhold the truth that you wrote it for them. Give examples of people who have done that I don’t want to mention it because there’re lots of them, but some people have been given me credit, people like Yemi Alade ,Seyi Shay, like the Ferrari I wrote for Yemi Alade she gave me credit. She always gives me credit. Seyi Shay gave me credit for Yolo Yolo I wrote for her. Ikemefunna Nwanbonye, a.k.a Klem who is a songwriter But then, Nigerian artist don’t want fans to know they use songwriters but now, they are beginning to appreciate and give credit. Who have you written so far? I wrote For my matter for Emmy Nyra, I wrote Nakam for Yemi Alade, Yolo Yolo for Seyi Shay, Glass House by 9ice, Sade for Davido also I wrote track 8 in his first album, and I wrote Appludise for Iyanya, and Gift for iyanya ft Don jazzy.

How did you write the songs, did you listen to the beat first or write first?

Mine is a gift anyway. Even lot of people come at times to tell me to teach them how to write, I don’t really know how to go about it because it is a gift, it is an inbuilt thing. At times the inspiration just comes, it is spiritual. And I also write when I listening to the beat, but mostly I write without listening to the beat because it comes naturally and I will just write it. I prefer writing it before the producer; it sounds more natural without the beat. How much did you charge? I charge 1millon for top musicians, and I charge four hundred thousand for upcoming acts.

As a song writer did you think you deserve more as the terms of royalties?

Yeah, I deserve more; I’m not even talking for myself alone. I am talking about every other song writers because when they give you credit on the song you have written, it motivates you a lot. Because you will write more, because you selling your song is just like “a mother that gives birth to a baby and that day the baby was snatched away from her, so anytime you see the baby you will be sad that the baby is not yours again. If you write a song for someone and the person credit you, it gives you more client and people will patronize you because these artists get paid more than we song writers, so if they can credit us more, it will get us more clients and we will grow.

Who would you like to work with?

I worked with Davido, Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay, 9ice, Don Jazzy, Iyanya, lot of them , I think the person I will like to work with now is 2Face (2BABA) am even working on it now, then ASA. Those are the people I would really like to work with because those are deep musician kind of people I like, they are deep thinkers, if you want to write for those people, they make you read and think before you write. Those are people I look forward to working with.

You are about to release your single.  Do you think you will be successful as an artist?
The music thing is there, at first I started with music before I discovered music writing, I was singing, in fact, I threw out some single that blew up then before God now answered my prayer and opened my eyes in song writing. So, I know if I should release a single, I will be successful. It might take me little time but I know by God’s grace, i have written out some tracks that’ll really blow up. You know human being have their own ways and God has his own way. So, the thing is, if God has given me that opportunity to throw out a single, then it does not really need anyone’s acceptance or permission. And the thing is that, most of these celebrities have heard me singing so they will be like I should throw out my track, so they are already expecting me already.

Are you signed to any record label? No, but I work for them, we work together just to create sounds.

When should Nigerians expect your singles?

They should be expecting it any moment from now, maybe next month.

What’s the title?

It is a funny tittle, SOKOYOKOTO

If accepted by Nigerian music audience, how would you feel?

It is just a normal thing to be surprised because human beings are full of surprises, but if I should be expecting, that means I will have to work hard on my music. Nigerians appreciate good musicians. When you give them what they want and the materials are ok why won’t they accept it. Lots of writers out there in U.S are appreciated.

Do you have plans to go for training and courses on songwriting?

Yes, I really need to go for that. Because, as a guy, I don’t know anything. The ones am displaying now are those that God has given to me. I need to go and acquire more knowledge. I just want to get through with all the assignments I have here then I move on that, travel out to acquire more knowledge because being a song writer, we are entitled to some things I need to know. There are some benefits am not enjoying now because we know nothing about them here.

Do you engage a lawyer when signing contracts with artists?

 Yes, I do.
