Lady weds man she met at the club not knowing he’s an Ethiopian Prince

This looks like another coming to America! 33-year-old Ariana Austin, has walked down the aisle with Joel Makonnen an Ethiopian prince she met at a Washington DC nightclub 12 years ago.

He approached her on an outing with a friend. Joel, who works as a lawyer, told her there and then that she was going to be his girlfriend.

Though he never told her then that he was a Prince, however after they got serious with their relationship, Joel told Ariana who he married in a lavish Ethiopian Orthodox Christian wedding with 13 priests, two crowns, and a pair of capes on 9 September, that he was a Prince.

Prince Joel who was born in Rome to his parents Prince David Makonnen and Princess Adey Imru Makonnen, and is the great-grandson of Haile Selassie I, Ethiopia’s last emperor. Haile Selassie was the 225th and last in the line of King of the Kings of Ethiopia, ruling the east African country for 40 years until he was overthrown in 1974. The royal family traces its roots back to the Biblical King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.

The marriage ceremony of Joel who had been forced to live in exile after a communist coup in his homeland, took place in Maryland and involved a “marathon day of events that lasted from 11 a.m. until late in the evening, and took place within two states.”

Speaking to The New York Times about their first encounter, Joe said: “I said: ‘You guys look like an ad for Bombay Sapphire’. Not even five minutes later I said: ‘You’re going to be my girlfriend’.”

Joel’s father had escaped the bloodshed in his homeland because he was studying abroad at the time. The family subsequently settled in Switzerland. More photos below;

Of course, he did by simply gathering information on Google replicating another’s idea without self development or hunger to do something different. We had better start tackling our hurdles of failures now before time elapse.

Nigerian woman accuses former Employees fof stealing Stealing N28m After They Resigned, Arrests Them

Two female Makeup Artists has been allegedly arrested by the Police in Abuja after been accused by their madam, that they stole her N28million.
According to a Nigerian Instagram user, @Shuuz_bags, the accusation was laid days after they resigned from the job to start up their own businesses.

She initially denied them their resignation, after much trial, she started accusing them of stealing.

Nigerian couple welcome Quintuplets in calabar after being childless for 10years

A Nigerian civil servant, Mrs Ekpo Edet has just been tremendously blessed with quintuplets (5 children) after a decade of childlessness.

Although, she did not bargain for it, but a woman who couldn’t conceive 10 years after marriage was shell-shocked as gets fruits of the womb five times in one fell- quintuplets in her first and only pregnancy in a decade. So, was the case of Mrs Ekpo Edet, a civil servant in Cross River State civil service, who recently gave birth to five bouncing babies consisting of three males and two females at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), Calabar.
Despite the daunting challenge of nursing five babies in a harsh economy, the middle-aged mother and administrative officer had since accepted her fate, describing the babies as marvelous and previous gifts from God.
Mrs. Ekpo disclosed that she didn’t pray to have quintuplets, but has a family tree that has a record of a delivery of a twin babies. She said at that conception she was only interested in having just a baby, and not babies, especially having been unable to have one after 10 years of marriage.
However, after the successful delivery of her babies, Ekpo noted that she, alongside her husband, Dr. Edet Effiong Ekpo, had been full of praises to God Almighty for blessing them with a set of quintuplets, after waiting upon God over the past 10 years, amidst persecution from different quarters that demand a child from her.

She reaffirmed that the babies, who are now four months old, were a reward for her waiting upon the God over the years, adding that it pays to be steadfast when trusting God for a child.
Mrs Ekpo told our correspondent that her greatest challenge in bringing up the babies at the moment was that of finance, but expressed confidence that God will always cater for them.
In view of the prevailing economic hardship and the enormous tasks of catering for the needs of five babies at a time, Ekpo doesn’t wish to have another set of quintuplets.
According to her; “It was marvelous having those babies. Even though I didn’t pray for it, and it just came, I give God the praise. But I wouldn’t want to have another experience. I won’t. The stress is much with this present economic situation. I won’t. Remember that we are all civil servants. I don’t have help from anywhere, except God. “Finance has been the major challenge at the moment, but I believe that with God all things are possible. God will always take care of them.”
Ekpo, who expressed satisfaction over her post and ante-natal and post-natal medical care, used the opportunity to advise pregnant women to always adhere to the instruction and prescriptions of their doctors in order to experience a safe delivery. She specifically commended Prof. Davies Ekanem, of the UCTH, for his medical care before and after her delivery.
Nevertheless, she narrated how she had a high blood pressure due to anxiety on the day of delivery, but said God took control of the situation.

She says; “Actually, my mom’s elder sister had twins.” In spite of the huge financial implications of catering for the children, all had been well with the mother and her “five bundles of joy” health wise. “Since after delivery, I have not had any course to take them to the hospital, though I treat them of malaria, every two month. In the course of all these things, I never had high BP, except on the day of delivery, my BP rose a little out of anxiety. I was scared as a human being. But, in the whole, we all have not had any health issue, so far. We are hale and hearty,”.

Man Kills Wife In Akwa Ibom in the presence of kids

A man, Mr. Sunday Akpan of Eda Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has killed his wife, Mrs. Martha Akpan.
He was also said to have dumped her remains in a rubbish dump.
The Akwa Ibom Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, made this known in a statement on Tuesday, adding that investigation revealed that the incident occurred on October 11.
He explained that Akpan had a misunderstanding with his wife, which led to a fight on the day.

“After a tip-off, the command arrested one Sunday Akpan, an elder in the Light of the World Mission Church, Oron Road, Uyo, for the murder of his wife, one Martha.
“The suspect, at midnight, went further by using a machete to cut the remains of his wife into pieces; he gathered them in two sacks, put the sacks in a wheelbarrow and disposed them of in a rubbish dump close to the NDLEA’s office, off Nwaniba Road, Uyo,” Elkana said.
The police spokesman said the suspect perpetrated the act in the presence of his three children, who later reported the incident to the police.
“The suspect has owned up to the crime and investigation is ongoing,” the PPRO added.

Atiku Abubakar's Son Remanded

The son of former Vice President Abubakar Atiku, Aminu Atiku was today remanded in transit cell by a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for allegedly disobeying a court order, made on October 11, ordering him to produce his son Amir Atiku. Magistrate Kikelomo Ayeye had on October 11, made the order over the custody of 8 year old Amir, whom he was alleged to have taken away from the custody of his estranged wife, Fatimo Bolori.
In the order of a copy which was made available to Vanguard, Magistrate Ayeye had made an order of emergency evacuation and protection ordering the respondent in the suit marked FCL/29/2017, between U. F. Bolori Vs M. A. Abubakar, to produce one Amir Abubakar, on October 18 (Wednesday), for the hearing of the matter.
When the matter came up Wednesday, for the discharge of ’emergency, evacuation /protection order made by the court, lawyer to Atiku’s son, informed the court that the parties were making plans to settle the matter out of court.

In response, Bolori’s lawyer, Nwabuzor Okoh, denied ever receiving any notification or information from the respondent to settle the matter out of court. Consequently, Magistrate Ayeye cited Atiku for contempt of court order made on October 11, and ordered that he should be remanded at the transit cell, while the case was stood down pending when he produce the boy.
Fatimo and Aminu were divorced in 2011, and the children were initially with their mother, with an arrangement that the children would be spending vacation with their father.
However, during one of the school holidays in 2013, Aminu requested that they be released to him for a vacation abroad, after which he refused to let the kids return to their mother.
It was gathered that he decides where, when and how the mother visit them under heavy security.

Lamora Williams, 24, was arrested after her toddlers Ja'Karter Penn, 1, and Ke-Yaunte Pen, 2, were both found dead.An arrest warrant claims the mum-of-three put the two children in the oven sometime between midnight on Thursday and 11pm on Friday.In the warrant police say the tots had suffered injuries including burns.Williams claimed to police to have left the pair with a family member.
The bodies of the toddlers were found over the weekend.
Crime scene investigators have removed the oven from the Atlanta home.
Williams' third child, who were all fathered by Jameel Penn, was unharmed.
She is charged with two counts of murder and one count of cruelty to children in the first degree.
The distraught father has set up a GoFundMe page saying: "I want everyone to use my story as a helping hand.
"I lost my 2 young boys to violence and I want to be a difference maker in someone else's life to prevent a child being hurt."
He has currently raised more than $1,000.
Friends and family have held a vigil for the two murdered boys.
Williams' mum Brenda told WSMV in America: "My daughter is a sick person if she did what I think she did.
“Mora wasn’t right, she hasn’t been right and what happened three months ago, that the kids father left her, I told him something tragic is going to happen.
"She’s going to do something to those kids, she’s going to do something to herself.
“You know we see stuff like this in horror movies, but in my family my two littlest grand kids are gone because of what my daughter did. I might need to get help, this is hard.”
Detectives arrested Williams after finding her story about how the two boys died "didn't add up".
She will appear in court in two weeks.

Girl Who Was About To Auction Her Virginity In Return For Cash Taught A Terrifying Lesson

 A teenage girl who claimed to be auctioning off her virginity in return for an iPhone 8 was taught a terrifying lesson.
The 17-year-old is reported to have posted her 'offer' in an online forum, where she said she would give up her virginity for a cash payment of around £2,300.
But her post was discovered by a vlogger who hosts a show, and they set up an interview with the unsuspecting teen, known as Xiao Chen.
Footage posted by vlogger Nana, 21, shows the pair meeting in a tea house, where Xiao Chen explains that one of her friends slept with a wealthy stranger and earned "easy" money.

The girl's claims she wants to order to buy the new iPhone 8 - which all her friends have.
Nana, whose show focuses on exposing poor social behaviour and challenging the human condition, tries subtly to talk the teen out of the deal, but Xiao Chen insists.
"All I have to do is lie there, right?" she says during the interview, adding: "We each get what we want. I’ve already thought it through."
Nana then gives the girl around £60 as a "deposit" and the pair set up a time and place for the deal to take place, but the teenager has no idea that she is about to be set up for a very public shaming.
The show’s climax happens with Xiao Chen inside the hotel room with her client, who hands her a new iPhone 8 to gain her trust.
But things go frighteningly wrong for Xiao Chen when three more men - one with a camera - enter the room and the trio say they want to "have some fun".
The teen is pinned to the bed- and then Nana bursts out from the hotel room bathroom to stop the staged scene.
"Now are you afraid?" Nana screams at Xiao Chen, who sits crying on the bed.
"Well, it’s too late now!" the vlogger adds, saying: "It’s not worth selling anything just for a phone."
In the end, Nana orders all the men, including the cameraman, out of the hotel room so she can lecture the teenager in private.

64-Year Old Crushes 9-Year-Old Cousin To Death she did sat on her as punishment

A 23-stone babysitter is accused of crushing a nine-year-old girl to death by sitting on her for 10 minutes as punishment.
Veronica Green Posey was arrested in Florida following the death of Dericka Lindsay, who is believed to have had a heart attack.
The young girl told adults she could not breathe before she died, it is alleged.
Posey, 64, who is listed as being the girl's cousin, was charged with homicide and cruelty to a child, the News Journal reports.

Two others, Grace Joan Smith, 69, and James Edmund Smith, 62 - listed as the girl's parents - have been charged with neglect for allegedly failing to report the abuse.
Dericka was being punished for misbehaving when she was crushed, a police report states.
When she stood up, Posey attempted CPR and called 911, prosecutors have said.
In Grace Smith's arrest report, she said she had called Posey over to her house for assistance with disciplining Dericka.
Grace Smith told the investigating deputy that Posey struck Dericka with a ruler and a metal pipe, before Dericka ran to an armchair.
And in James Smith's arrest report, the paper said he told the deputy that Posey sat on Dericka in the armchair for an estimated 10 minutes before Dericka complained of not being able to breathe.
He told the deputy Posey continued to sit on the child for another two minutes before standing up and finding the child unresponsive.
