Common lies told in a relationship

After writing this article on Common Lies Men Tell, I got requests (from men of course!) to spill on common lies women tell, after all, no be only man dey lie. I'm a born Libran and that means I like to balance the scales. No time for ojoro here, let's talk about some common lies women tell too!!!

I'M ON MY PERIOD

Women have been known to use this to get out of complicating situations. Hubby wants some action but she's tired,  so she says, "I'm on my period". Hopefully the man will turn away. Does she want just  cuddling and "romancing" but does not want to take it to the next level? "I'm on my period". Guys, even though the chances of this being a lie is true, respect this lie and STOP. Trust some guys some will tell you and so lets continue.

I CAME

If you don't know what this means, then you have no business knowing what it is. After giving her action, left right centre, bursting all your Kung-Fu moves then panting and sweating you turn to her and ask, "did you come?" Bros, if you have to ask, then she probably did not come. Na only you waka come. But of course, a lot of women would rather say yes than bruise a man's ego.

JUST 5 MINUTES

I cannot count how many times my husband has asked if I'm ready and I respond with "Just 5 minutes". Guys, don't take it literally. Don't set a timer and start counting down...give an extra 15 minutes. This is a little white lie that is not supposed to hurt a fly.It is not really cool.

AGE

A lot of women will not even bother telling the truth about this, but it all depends on who is asking. She might throw around "I'm in my early thirties" or "mid twenties"...but never "I'm tatyfife"! LOL. Especially in public!  You will have to hunt down that original birth certificate.

I'M OK

If you know that you have erred yet you ask a woman and she say's she's OK,  "No Problem"...don't believe all is well. Hopefully you have an intuition. That she say's she's Okay does not mean she is. Watch her body language.

An overexcited man acted a mild drama at the altar when it was time for him o kiss his bride. In a trending footage shared online, the man gently removed his bride's veil after reciting the marital vows -only for him to fall back and hold his head in joy when the moment reached to seal the union with a kiss..



His best man who was a his back had to push him back to continue with the ceremony...

Beware! Heavy Makeup Can Lead To Cancer

A Nigerian dermatologist, Mrs Ayopo Adeyemi, has cautioned women against the use of heavy makeup, adding that it can trigger skin problems including cancer.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lagos, Adeyemi stressed that the use of heavy makeup could lead to skin irritation, allergies and even skin cancer.
While stating that the use of excessive makeup was usually for women to cover skin problems like pimples, allergies, patches, scars, dark circles, boils and wrinkles, the dermatologist warned that if care is not taken, it could aggravate the problems rather than solve it.

She also warned that the harmful effects of makeup were not limited to skin related issues, but also varieties of other health challenges.

“Lipsticks, Kajal sticks and eye-shadows, for example, are known to contain lead, carcinogen and neuro toxin that can affect the nervous system adversely, leading to high blood-pressure, allergies, behavioral abnormalities and even decreased rates of fertility.”

She explained that some chemical preservatives used in many cosmetics were hazardous.

”Using too much product on your skin will eventually further the wrinkles, lines and spots you are attempting to conceal, and ultimately make you look older than you actually are,” she said.

The dermatologist said that it was imperative that makeup enthusiasts indulge in proper cleaning regime to remove all traces of chemicals from the skin.

“There are plenty of face washes, cleansers and scrubs available in the market to choose from.”

She advised women to use natural facial treatments like cucumber, tomatoes, honey, eggs instead of using unsafe products.

Man jumps into Bridge in Lagos

Just less than a month, after a particular doctor committed suicide by jumping into the Lagoon at Third Mainland Bridge. An unidentified man on Saturday morning jumped into a canal in the Festac area of Lagos State.
The incident drew many residents and passers-by to the scene as rescue workers tried to save him from drowning.According to people around it was reported the man went near the bridge and dived.Many local drivers tried to save him all to no avail.

It was not certain if his body was recovered as of the time of filing this report. When contacted, the spokesperson for the police in Lagos, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the command got a report of the incident.
He said, “I think it was a case of a man who fell into a canal. We are still trying to get more information on it.’’
