Obviously, I’m a huge advocate for starting your own monetized blog. However, it does become a bit tricky when you’re trying to do it for free. First, you have two options for getting started – you can either use the free WordPress option or Blogger which is a commercial free platform. Both have similar features regarding functionality and design, and both can be monetized, but only through their respective ad networks.
What this means is that you’re able to monetize your blog, but only by using WordAds or Blogger’s Adsense ads. WordPress does allow affiliate marketing on their free platform — as long as you're in compliance with their terms. Using a free platform limits your earning potential, but it gives you the initial foundation for building an audience. Leroux was a go-to designer for stars like Taylor Swift, Jessica Chastain, Sofia Vergara and Cate Blanchett.
He cut his teeth at fashion houses like Fendi and Chanel before venturing out on his own. Cindy Crawford modeled his clothes as far back as 1993. May his soul rest in peace.

In South Carolina 2 Soldiers Died and 6 Injured in Military vehicle

Two soldiers were killed and six others were injured in a “tragic accident involving a military vehicle and a troop formation” at Fort Jackson in South Carolina Friday, the military said.
Two service members remain in critical condition in the accident at the facility outside of Columbia, the military said in a statement. Those injured were evacuated to a hospital outside of the military base. Public affairs officer Pat Jones said that it appears a vehicle collided into a troop formation at around 4 p.m.
"Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the soldiers we lost today and to the families of the injured, they represent the best of our Nation and we will endeavor to support all those affected through this difficult time," U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson Commander Maj. Gen. Pete Johnson said in a statement.
The Army said they are withholding the names of the dead and injured until they can notify the soldiers' next-of-kin. They added that they would thoroughly investigate the cause of the accident.
Congressman Joe Wilson, R-SC, shared his condolences in a statement posted on Twitter.
"Roxanne and I are deeply saddened by the news that two brave soldiers lost their lives at Fort Jackson," Wilson said. "We are forever grateful for their sacrifices — and those of their families. We ask that everyone keep the six service members who sustained injuries in their thoughts and prayers in the days ahead."
Fort Jackson is a military installation known for providing Basic Combat Training via the U.S. Army Training Center. The base provides 36,000 soldiers basic training and 8,000 soldiers advanced individual training every year, according to the base's website.
The barracks also includes the Army Drill Sergeant School, the 81st Regional Reserve Command, the Armed Forces Army Chaplaincy Center and School and the National Center for Credibility Assessment.
Approximately 3,500 active-duty soldiers are assigned to Fort Jackson full-time, according to the base.

Police raid offices of women groups in poland after protest

Organizations which help victims of domestic violence have documents and computers seized after women stage marches to protest against abortion law

Women’s rights groups have denounced police raids on their offices in several Polish cities that resulted in the seizing of documents and computers, a day after women staged anti-government marches to protest at the country’s restrictive abortion law. The raids took place on Wednesday in the cities of Warsaw, Gdańsk, Łódź and Zielona Góra. They targeted two organisations, the Women’s Rights Centre and Baba, which help victims of domestic violence and participated in this week’s anti-government protests.
Women’s rights activists said on Thursday that the loss of files would hamper their work, and accused authorities of trying to intimidate them. Prosecutors denied the accusation, saying the timing of the raids a day after the marches was coincidental.

Some fear the ruling Law and Justice party, led by Jarosław Kaczyński, is following in the footsteps of neighboring Hungary, where non-governmental groups have faced harassment under the prime minister, Viktor Orbán.
“This is an abuse of power because, even if there is any suspicion of wrongdoing, an inquiry could be done in a way that doesn’t affect the organisations’ work,” Marta Lempart, the head of the Polish Women’s Strike, which organised the protests, told Associated Press.
The women’s groups said they were told by police that prosecutors were looking for evidence in an investigation into suspected wrongdoing in the justice ministry under the former government. At the time the ministry provided funding to the women’s groups.
“We are afraid that this is just a pretext or warning signal to not engage in activities not in line with the ruling party,” the Women’s Rights Centre said in a statement.
Anita Kucharska-Dziedzic, who heads Baba, said police entered her office in Zielona Góra, western Poland, at 9am on Wednesday and worked until 6pm removing files.
She told AP her group was not aware of any wrongdoing by justice ministry officials it was in contact with.
She also said she now expected problems continuing her projects due to the loss of files, and is also concerned because the documents contained private information on victims of domestic abuse who had sought the group’s help.
Barbora Cernusakova, Amnesty International’s researcher on Poland, called the police operations “very worrying”.

“We understand that the police actions came in the context of an investigation against former staff of the Ministry of Justice, but the NGOs, and the women and girls they support, will suffer the consequences,” Cernusakova said.
Jacek Pawlak, a spokesman for prosecutors in Poznań, where the investigation is being led, said the raids were part of an ongoing investigation but would not divulge
what the probe was about. He said there was no attempt to harass the women’s organizations.
This week’s street demonstrations came on the first anniversary of a mass Black Protest by women dressed in black that stopped a plan in parliament for a total ban on abortion.
Despite that success, women’s rights activists marched to protest that abortion was still illegal in most cases, and called for a liberalization of the law.

Fayose says he will win PDP Seat 2018 with INEC

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be fair to all parties contesting the 2018 governorship election in the state.
The governor spoke on Friday in his reaction to INEC’s release of the timetable for the election.
He admonished INEC to conduct a credible poll that would be commended by the international community, noting that the June 21, 2014 election which he won, was hailed by the government of the United States of America.
He said he needed no help from INEC or any agency of the government for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to win the election, just as he urged INEC and federal government agencies not to provide help for other contestants.
Mr. Fayose and his supporters within the PDP in the state have adopted his deputy, Olusola, as the preferred party candidate for the election.
However, other aspirants have kicked against the adoption, and are going ahead with their aspirations.
“The international community as well as local election observers should from now, take very strong interest in the Ekiti 2018 governorship election and monitor INEC as it begins the processes leading to the conduct of the election,” he said.
“Concerning this election and others, INEC should be honorable by ensuring free, fair and credible elections.

The EFCC Lagos Zonal office, have arrested four suspected Internet fraudsters. They are: Oluwaseun Michael, 28; Igbokwe Chijioke, 27; Felix Chukwudi, 22 and Babajide Goloba. The quartet were arrested in different parts of Lagos, following intelligence report received by the Commission. They are alleged to have defrauded their victims, mostly American and European citizens, millions of Dollars. The suspects, school drop-outs, have confessed to have been involved in romance/ marriage scam, Internet advertisement scam, spoofing of emails and interception of business mails. They have also confessed to be working as couriers for movement of stolen funds by other cyber-criminals. They own companies with no fixed addresses, which they used to cover up the real sources of their money. Moving around Lagos at midnight lead to taking of this pictures

Were we crazy to have decided to Shoot Lagos at night? It wasn't my fault actually. Please allow me explain.   9:30pm 29th September 2017 I thought I had finally deciphered a new way of escaping Dami's 'wahala' when he barged into the partially lit sitting room without knocking. The buttons of his pink shirt weren't properly connected but he cared less as he spoke loudly (in his usual style) over the phone to someone I don't think I know. He had just returned from Gerald Road, Ikoyi, where he Joseph (our mutual friend) had invited him to the launch of Impact Hub. I became angrier when he moved close to where I was lying, kicked me and jokingly said "omo better yeh ma sun..." I knew the implication of such song (especially when it comes from him) so I had no choice than to honour his invitation since he needed to just talk. After all his reporting (which centered on how fantastic the people on the Island enjoy life), he concluded by clarifying that 'lekki people are learning work where Ikoyi peeps are".   The Next Day So the team agreed we'd go to see things for ourselves the next day and this prompted me to write this tweet few minutes before the journey started.   I hailed another taxify with my phone when we got declined by the previous driver who probably couldn't take the risk. Tolu sounded excited while I gave him a brief of our plan. He arrived few minutes earlier than the app had predicted, I smiled as I took that for a good omen. He dug straight into our drill as he suggested we start from Banana Island so that we'd ply the Lekki bridge and then head towards 'Eko' bridge on our way back. We all decided to go neutral by freeing our minds of all prior experiences we might have had on the Island so we can enjoy every scene as they appear.   Then the journey began Dami joined Tolu at the front while I stayed back with Kunle (Marshal). Falomo under bridge Falomo under bridge where we took our first shoot. We passed the Lagos motor boat club where Tolu hinted us that one of the major criteria of being a member is to own a yatch (which I somewhat found hard believing). The first cool experience with the Nigerian Police At this Juncture, I'd like to appreciate the Nigerian Police even though many of their officers aren't doing it the way it should be done. The policemen who accosted us yesterday were calm and going by the way they spoke, i could easily tell they are learned. they stopped us after noticing our car's rear number plate was missing, did some searching and after carefully explaining what happened to the missing plate, they advised we drive carefully while we enjoy the night. We saw girls too ...loads of them were on display. Marshal's mouth was slightly opened (probably in lust lol) while Dami decided to play a bit as he told Tolu to park beside the duo who were obviously waiting for a call. The sex workers on the Island seems to have a solid relationship with the Police Dami: hello, what's up? what's your name? 1st girl: Sandra Dami: Beautiful. What's the price? She: 20k for full-time. Dami: How about short? She: 10k Dami: How about 5k? The risk was worth taking. *grins After bae challenge on the link bridge we headed into lekki, paid toll of #250 The babes at admiralty were madder than we've ever seen them... We spent up to 30 minutes roaming aimlessly there and wondering why everything including the roads, whores and even the police on this part of the Island seems better than what we are used to on the mainland. Everything we saw was motivation. I said to no one as the street lights flashed on my face while I smiled. On our way back, we took few pictures on the Eko bridge before plunging back into the uninspiring atmosphere of the mainland. A view from Eko Bridge   To think that we had mad fun without eating nor drinking anything further validated the below:   I strongly suggest you try this out with your team or wait till I'd be doing my next tour.   Here are few but strong tips on wandering Lagos at night -Free your mind: this will enable you absorb at a maximal level. -Take a private car (uber or taxify will be better): This will enable you do all you like while at it. there were many times when we'd stop abruptly to take pictures or ease ourselves. It is also safer. -Don't go alone: going with a partner is good but it's better with partners. i.e 3 or more. -Hold cash instead of relying on ATM: this is in case you'd like to buy something or maybe settle the cab driver. in our own case, we had visited 4 different machines and still couldn't get money to balance the driver. 57 year old woman give birth to twins after 27years

A Nigerian couple identified as Mr. and Mrs. Joseph, has welcomed a set of twins, a boy and a girl, after 27 years of childlessness, and 7 years of post-menopause.

Apologise for disrespecting Ibe Kachikwu now or ...........................

 

A militant group in the Niger Delta region known as the Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA), has called on the group managing director of NNPC, Maikanti Baru, to apologize to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu for disrespecting him and his office.

The group in a statement released today by their spokesman, General Edmos Ayayeibo, said that if Baru fails to apologize to Kachikwu, they would resume the vandalization of pipelines located at Bonny, Nembe and Forcados trunk lines. 
The group demanded that Baru should tender an open apology to Kachikwu and also drop his appointees on the NNPC board within two weeks. According to the group, the oil sector does not belong to the Fulani's. 

"Nigeria’s oil sector doesn’t belong to the Fulani alone. It belongs to every citizen in this country. The Nigeria unity has broken and the center can not hold again" he said 
The group also called on President Buhari to immediately restructure the country and find ways of delivering on all his electoral promises.
“It as come to our notice that president Muhammadu Buhari, and his All Progressives Congress-led administration doesn’t care about the unity of Nigeria. We expected the number one citizen of this country to address the issues affecting every region of Nigeria on independence day, rather, he aggravated  the relative peace in the  various regions, especially in the Niger Delta. President Muhammadu  Buhari speaks to the country as if we are in a military dictatorship. We voted for him not to blame PDP, but to do what he was promising the people of Nigeria during his campaign, tagged Change. All president Muhammadu Buhari’s subordinates and all his appointees are ruling the country as if  we are in a military era" he said
