Man Rapes His 16-Year-Old Daughter

A 52-year-old man, Paul Akpederi, who pleaded guilty to raping his 16-year-old daughter, was, yesterday, arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ikeja.

Paul was docked on a one-count charge of unlawful defilement before Magistrate B. O. Osunsanmi.

The prosecutor, Inspector Simon Imhonwa, told the court that the defendant has been committing the offence since 2012 in Ikorodu, area of Lagos. According to Imhonwa, the offence is punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendant, however, pleaded guilty to the charge levelled against him by the Police. The defendant’s lawyer, A. O. Gbadamosi, filed an application to carry out a psychiatric test on the defendant. She told the court that the defendant was alleged to have been talking to himself and shouting over nothing.

The prosecutor did not object to the counsel’s request, but said the medical test could have been done at the Police level.

The Magistrate, Osunsanmi, however, granted him bail of N500,000, with two sureties in like sum, adding that the sureties must be related to the defendant. She said evidence of tax payment to Lagos State Government must be verified, and adjourned to December 6.

Criticize Yourself not

Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you are doing when you indulge in these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you. Don’t ever criticize yourself.
When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance. I believe if you keep your faith, if you keep your trust, if you keep the right attitude, if you are grateful, you will see God open up new doors.
You are going to go through tough times – that is life. But I say, nothing happens to you, it happens for you. See the positive in negative events. It is easy to get negative because you get beat
down. You go through a few disappointments and it is easy to stay in that negative frame of mind.
Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is a whole cliche, but your attitude is going to determine how you are going to live your life. Let go of yesterday. Let today be a new beginning and be the best that you can, and you will get to where God wants you to be.
Don’t ever criticize yourself. Don’t go around all day long thinking, ‘I am unattractive, I am slow, I am not as smart as my brother.’ God wasn’t having a bad day when he made you… If you don’t love yourself in the right way, you can’t love your neighbor. You can’t be as good as you are supposed to be.
I believe that God has put gifts and talents and ability on the inside of every one of us. When you develop that and you believe in yourself and you believe that you are a person of influence and a person of purpose, I believe you can rise up out of any situation. I don’t think you should spend your life praying for things, but I do believe you should thank God for what He has given you… but I think the scripture teaches us that we can pray for our dreams, pray for the big things… he is not a small God; this God is incredible.

In terms of multitasking, f5l is packed with a 4GB of RAM which ensures that there won’t be any delay while opening, running and switching from app to another, it also means that you can open multiple apps at the same time without any issues.

Battery

For some (like me), one of the decisive factor while choosing a phone to  a phone to buy is the battery capacity, or how long the battery is going to last. If a phone cannot endure for a day, then its probably a bad choice. It seemed like gionee understood this, that’s why the battery on the gionee f5l has the capacity of 4000mAh. This is bigger than the battery on the gionee s6s, so you should expect to have a standby time of more than 400 hours and the talk time of up to 12 hours.

Where to buy Gionee F5L

When F5L is available, you can buy it at various online stores depending on your location. For those in Nigeria and Kenya, you can check out this phone at Jumia, Kilimall, and Konga.

Good relationship brings joy everyday

An Atlanta based Nigerian comedian, Foxy P, has spoken on real relationship goals that are not put out in the media. According to him, for 39 years his parents have been doing relationship goals but until a few years ago he never paid them any attention.

He shared a photo of his mum helping her dad get ready for and event and wrote...
“The reason I laugh when I see people commenting “relationship goals” under celeb pictures or watching YouTube videos for relationship advice is because most of us have real life examples of true relationship goals in our homes but we refuse to pay attention. I was the same way too. For 39 years my parents have been doing relationship goals but until a few years ago I never paid them any attention. Maybe it’s because my dad doesn’t have an IG page so he can’t put MamaFoxy as WCW or she doesn’t give him Facebook shoutout on his birthday. But over the past year, watching my mum care for my dad during his health challenges, watching him speak lovingly about her when she left to visit Nigeria for a few months, seeing the twinkle in his eye and loving embrace they shared on her return made me realize I don’t have to go online to look for relationship goals. This right here is everything I want in my own marriage and I pray the same for everyone reading this who is in love or looking for love. You will find and enjoy real love in Jesus name 🙏 #AfricanParentStories #APCAtlanta”

19 years old girl abort 7 months pregnancy

Image result for pregnant nigerian teenager Men of the Apo Divisional Police headquarters in Abuja, have arrested a 19-year-old woman for allegedly aborting a seven months only pregnancy.
The suspect, Favour Stephen, an indigene of Benue State, was said to have been arrested after an informant called the police to report the incident. The suspect who was seven months pregnant and resident of Zuba, a satellite town located along the Abuja/Kaduna, highway, was said to have relocated to Apo, to stay with her friends in an uncompleted building where she allegedly carried out the abortion. Police sources told Daily Sun, that Favor, who lived with her parents until the incident, contacted a herbalist whom she told she wanted some concoction to abort her pregnancy.

The herbalist, who is nowhere to be found, was said to have handed over some concoction in a bottle to her which she took. According to the confessional statement of the suspect, shortly after taking the concoction, she immediately relocated from Zuba, to join her friends at Apo and told them about her plans. Daily Sun, gathered that barely 24, hours after she took the concoction, she started crying and complaining of severe stomach pain, which attracted some residents in the area. Few hours later, she went into force labour and delivered a baby boy said to have been alive at the time of birth. After delivery, the suspect and her friends allegedly strangled the baby to death and wrapped it up and put it in a cellophane bag and dumped the body somewhere in the bush. But unknown to them, one of the residents who was attracted to her cry when she complained of severe stomach pain, kept watch on them to get to the root of the matter. Police say the good neighbor followed them from a distance when he saw them carrying a cellophane bag into the bush late in the night. After dumping their garbage, the informant was said to have gone to the spot to unravel the content only to find a dead baby and immediately reported the incident to the police that stormed the crime scene picked the evidence and arrested the suspect and her friends and took a photograph of the dead baby. At the police station, she was said to have confessed to the crime and said one of her colleagues who is a married man actually got her pregnant. She denied that the pregnancy was seven months old, saying she thought she was four months pregnant. The Apo, police division Monday, transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), since it’s a murder case and that the suspect would be charged for murder of an innocent Nigerian child.

Rihanna Hides Belly Amid Pregnancy Rumours As She Leaves Recording Studio

Rihanna is doing a diamond job of hiding her belly amid pregnancy rumours. The stunning superstar kept her stomach firmly under wraps with a blush jacket as she left a recording studio on Saturday evening.
It looked as thought the Umbrella singer, 29, was wearing quite a revealing outfit to record in as her jacket slipped off her shoulders to reveal a cut panel nude bralet dress with a gorgeous thigh high split showing off plenty of leg.

Speculation over Rihanna's pregnancy started earlier on this year - but there is no hint as to whether congrats are in order.

In the last few months Rihanna, who is reportedly dating Toyota billionaire Hassan Jameel , has done nothing to dispel rumours she is expecting.

The Lord changed the verdict of death upon my life

I thank God for the saving grace.

I would have been dead and forgotten by now if not for God, the Almighty
Though,  I lost some friends. Anytime I think about it, I shudder.
I want to testify to the goodness of the Lord, though of many years back.
It was a fire disaster in Awori that year. I still remember it vividly as if it happened yesterday.
I was at home sleeping , not being aware of the incident.
I was woken up by these friends in order to join them siphon petrol from the vandalized pipeline.
Though, the expedition was tempting. I was tired but I wanted to go with them.
For strength, I therefore went for the water anointed in our church in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I took some of the water. But instead of being strengthened, it knocked me down terribly. I could not join them.
So, they left me behind as my condition at that time looked cumbersome to them.
I was not to be a liability to them, they reasoned.
And that was  my saving grace !
The Lord changed the verdict of death upon my life at that time.
I could have been consumed but the Lord spared my life.
You could imagine my shock and fear of learning that they were caught in the inferno.
What a  grace !
I was saved by grace

Oyinbo Jesu said singing in yoruba helps me pass messages

Image result for Dorien Jacob, aka Oyinbo Jesu,
At a time when there are fears that the Yoruba language may become endangered soon because the new generation of its people are not being taught the language, a Dutch-Nigerian, Dorien Jacob, aka Oyinbo Jesu, has chosen to sing entirely in Yoruba language.

Speaking to Sunday Scoop, she said, “When God gives you talents, it flows. I’m married to a Yoruba man who loves his culture and music so much. I also love music and that’s one of the bases of attraction between us. My husband is an amazing teacher and he was the one who stirred my interest in singing in Yoruba language. Singing in Yoruba enables one to pass a lot of messages that some other languages may not be able to accommodate. My husband writes the songs, we arrange them together, and I perform them.”
Somehow, Oyinbo Jesu cannot speak Yoruba for now.
“Even though I cannot speak Yoruba language, I understand it amply. I love the Yoruba culture because it is so colourful and warm. Thus far, I have two albums, Oluwa M’odupe (I thank God) and Ijo Ayo (Dance of Joy), but I also have countless songs that haven’t even been released,” she added.
On the reaction of her family to her decision to marry a Yoruba man, Oyinbo Jesu said, “I come from a close-knit home; so, we never had any problem as my family totally supported our marriage. However, they had to get used to the cultural differences because the Nigerian culture is very strong,” she said.
Speaking on her praise programme, she stated, “We put Unstoppable Praise together so that everybody can come and praise God in a conducive atmosphere. It is absolutely free, but we have been able to fund this by the grace of God. There is no point in having a programme to praise God, and people cannot afford it. The good thing is that this is my husband’s home, and he knows the right people and places to go for help. We put in our best in making this programme a reality, but with the understanding that without God’s support, it would all be a waste. We thank God because He has been faithful.”

Blac Chyna Blows Hot In Court Documents, Says Rob Actually Went Through Surgery To Lose Weight, Wasn't Dieting

Blac Chyna has claimed that Rob Kardashian secretly had $100,000 (£75,000) worth of weight loss surgery before lying about losing the weight through diet and exercise.
Chyna, 29, who shares daughter Dream with her ex Rob, 30, made the claims in publicly available court documents whilst defending herself from the claims he had made of her.

During their very public break-up over the summer, Rob revealed that Chyna had secret post-baby surgery and shared pictures of the star in her hospital gown.

Hitting back, Chyna - real name Angela Renée White - said in court documents: 'In fact, Rob Kardashian himself underwent weight loss surgery that cost $100,000, whereas Chyna's surgery was for a lesser amount.

Chyan underwent minor cosmetic procedures including a breast and butt reduction as well as a small amount of liposuction around her belly button.

'Ms White is a well known social media influencer and trendsetter who professionally endorses health, lifestyle, and diet products in her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

'Accordingly, the manner in which Rob Kardashian revealed Ms White's personal medical information jeopardised Ms White's endorsement deals with several weight loss, fitness and diet companies - that all pay Ms White to promote their products on social media,' part of the documents read.

Flavour has made a choice between his two baby mamas thinking out loud

Flavour
Singer Flavour is one of the the many musicians in Nigeria with multiple baby mamas!
With two beauty queens struggling for his heart and caring for his daughters, Flavour can be categorized as one lucky man.

With the look of things however, it seems the singer has finally made a choice between his two gorgeous baby mamas.
Our assumption is not based on hearsays or rumours but from Flavour’s birthday attitude for his first daughter Muna, the daughter of his first baby mama Sandra Okagbue.
Flavour with Sandra and daughter
This attitude is quite different from his attitude a few months ago when Anna Banner’s daughter, Sophia clocked two.
Not only did Flavour have a photoshoot with Muna, he had with Sandra and they wore matching outfits looking like a perfect family.
Sandra; Flavour’s choice?
This could also be so because of Anna’s decision to move on with her life despite her love for her baby daddy.
Still we can’t help but wonder if Flavour plans to marry Sandra after all!

The lady that wrote exam with her wedding gown in benue state finally speaks

“Why I left my wedding venue to write my exams” — Bride who wrote exam in her wedding gown in Benue State University
A few weeks back we posted a news about a 300 level Economics student of Benue State University, Makurdi, who was spotted writing exam in her wedding gown.

The bride, Identified as Dooshima Aondaver Moses, created a scene as she sneaked out of her wedding to take an examination in her wedding gown. She speaks with JOHN CHARLES of PUNCH on why she decided to abandon her husband and other guests for the examination hall. Excerpts:
When did you start planning for your wedding?
The whole thing started in 2016. That was when both of us, my husband and I decided to settle down as husband and wife. As a graduate of the same department, my husband understands everything very well, so we were working with the academic calendar. The wedding was supposed to come up in the first two weeks of the second semester of 300 level when there would not be much academic activities.
Unfortunately, the university had an internal crisis which led to the closing down of the university for three months and when we resumed, we thought that the wedding would still hold after the examination but shortly after the local strike was called off then came the national ASUU strike. We still thought that the strike would drag until after our wedding but lo and behold, the strike was suspended, all these changed the academic calendar.
But why didn’t you shift the wedding date?
There was no way we could have called off the wedding because all arrangement had gone far and families and friends from far and near had been informed. So it became extremely difficult to cancel it as many people from Lagos, Abuja and other places had been informed of the October 7 date. So calling off the wedding would have disrupted other programmes. At the time the national strike was called off, the time table for the exam was released.
At the time the time table for your exams was released, what efforts did you make to convince your department to give concession to you?
The time table was released immediately the national strike was called off. Although I informed the department but they told me there was nothing they could do. They said since the time table was already out, there was no time for me to lodge any official complaint. They said if that had happened before it came out, the department might have considered that. Again, the problem is that I was so busy making arrangement for my wedding. It was the same week that we did the traditional wedding, court marriage and church wedding. I decided to go ahead with the marriage and at the same time prepare for my examination.
What was the course you did that day with your wedding gown on?
International Economics and I did it well to the best of my knowledge.
How did you cope preparing for your wedding and your examination at the same time?
Actually, it was not easy for me. I tried to strike a balance by running around and at the same time reading for the examination, it was not easy at all but one thing that kept me going was the fact that I had made up my mind not to carry over any course because of my marriage. So, that decision was my soothing balm.
At what point did you leave the wedding venue for the examination hall?
We had concluded the church ceremony because the marriage was held at Good News Chapel, Benue State University. We were at the reception and shortly after we entered the venue, I had to excuse myself and the train and quietly sneak out, pretending to go to ease myself. Although a few of the bridal train are my course mates, so as I sneaked out, so also my course mates who were in the bridal train. We all rushed down to take the exam.
What vehicle brought you to the exam hall?
It was the same vehicle that I used for the wedding that brought me. The point is that my husband, close family and friends were aware of the plan; so right from the church service, we had to rush the programme, the pastor that officiated our marriage, Pastor Jude, was also aware of the arrangement, he tried to minimise the service until we got to the reception. A few of the officials at the reception were aware of the arrangement.
For instance, the chairman of the reception while addressing the crowd, noted that everything had to be done moderately because the couple needed to meet up with other pressing matters. He did not mention it particularly.
As the reception was in progress, my husband and I were watching ourselves and checking time intermittently so as not to be late to the exam hall because Economics department is very strict with examination guidelines. So knowing this, I was very conscious of time.
You know that many of my course mates were also at the reception, so all of us were cautious of time; in fact, many left the reception before me.
But it is assumed that weddings should be savoured to the fullest without any distraction; didn’t you see it that way?
Well, I see marriage as a lifelong enjoyment, so I did not want to use one to jeopardise the other. It is true it was the day of celebration and many people were at the reception to celebrate me, but I had another important thing which was my examination.
Your paper was fixed for what time?
It was scheduled for 3pm to 6pm that Saturday, it was a three-unit course.
At the time you left the reception, what was the reaction of people and did your husband also follow you?
Well, few of my relations as I earlier said were aware of it, but I learnt there was tension when other guests did not see the bride again, according to what they told me. But gradually, the crowd thinned out; so there was no problem at all but my husband remained behind at the time I left together with a few of the bridal train who are my course mates.
Was there distraction at the time you entered the examination hall?

Since all of them were aware and most of them attended the wedding, there was no distraction at the time I entered the examination hall.
You were not afraid that anything could have happened as you left your husband at the reception?
Nothing could have happened because it was our plan not to rob Paul to pay Peter. A pastor named Isaac was the one who drove the car that day; four of my train were in the same car that brought me, so all of us walked into the examination hall including the pastor.
Was there no time for you to change your wedding gown to normal dress at the time you came to the campus?
Actually, when I came in, I tried to manage the time. Ordinarily, the department has a dress code while coming to class but having eaten into the time, there was no time for me to go and change my dress, after all they were all aware of the wedding ceremony. I am sure that was the privilege they gave me to take the exam.

Since you said that you were in the examination hall throughout the duration, it means you could not go back to the reception?

My plan initially was that I would do the paper and rush back to the reception. Unfortunately, by the time I finished, the whole thing had ended. When I called my husband, he said he was already in the hotel sleeping.
Now that the day had come and gone with the drama created by your action, how will you describe the day?
October 7, 2017 will remain evergreen in my life, a blessed day because it is every woman’s dream to get married. I can not forget the day because the wedding coincided with my examination which I was able to take.
Your examination is still on. As a new couple, you ought to be in honeymoon now.
(Cuts in) To me, I see every day in marriage to be honeymoon, not just to set a few days off for honeymoon. I think what honeymoon means is for your spouse to pet you, kiss you, hug you, take you out and all that but to me, life is in stages. So whatever you have to do, it is better for one to do it well. So for me, honeymoon is a lifetime experience.
Do you have advice for those planning similar thing in future?
My advice to young ladies is to be determined because the way to success is not easy. One needs determination, discipline and focus, because for me, forgoing reception for examination is discipline. I was determined not to fail as any other person could have said there is no big deal, I can carry over the course, but for me, I didn’t want to carry over the course because I have no reason to. Despite the fact that it was a celebration day, I needed to do what was the most priority on my list which was my examination. We should not take things for granted, when it is time to do something, it is better to do it.
