Some useful information for jambites

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made some announcements that will be useful for candidates of the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examinations (UTME).
This comes hours after the results for the JAMB mock examination was released.
We gathered some of the important information released by JAMB.
1. Candidates who made mistakes while filling their forms in the ongoing registration can now make corrections for the following categories
-Correction of Name
-Passport Photograph
-UTME subject combination
-Choices of institution/courses and date of birth

2. Candidates will have to pay the sum of N2,500 to effect any of these corrections.
3. Only approved CBT centres are allowed to make these changes.
4. Payment can be done via Remita before proceeding to the Centres.
5. Login to your profile, on the dashboard, click on UTME Registration Data Correction to make payment
6. The 2017 UTME registration ends midnight on Friday, May 5. There will be no extension.
7. Exam dates remain unchanged. The exam will be holding from May 13th to 20th.
8. Candidates will be notified when their exam dates and centres are available.
The mock exam was conducted on Tuesday, May 2, in all the accredited CBT centres nationwide.
Its aim was to prepare candidates for the real exams coming up soon.
This year’s JAMB registration has been fraught with problems. According to NOIPolls, 60 percent of the 2017 JAMB registration applicants experienced one form of difficulty or another during the ongoing registration exercise.
These problems were said to have arisen from the fact that JAMB introduced new measures to ensure ease in the registration process.

Angie Hamouie sets to marry her Degree on May

Skazyupdate
Na so! trust them with funny stunts. Angie Hamouie is getting married... to her medical degree.

The 27-year-old lady from Texas is graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in June and she’s celebrating by throwing what she has dubbed a “grand wedding.”

There’s going to be a wedding-style dress, a dance with the diploma and, of course, grand wedding cake. She created a website on wedding website The Knot to announce her union with her M.D.

“This was such a big deal for her, because it was the culmination of three degrees and nine years of higher education,” Hamouie’s Knot page reads. “Her match represented everything she had worked toward. Angie realized this graduation would only happen once in her life. She wondered, why is it that no one really celebrates their graduation? And if she threw a party, how could she convey that this party was a Big Deal?”

So, after her “enmatchment,” Hamouie planned a grand wedding. The party is set for May 13, and she’s invited friends and family to come join her on her "big" day.

“I didn’t think folks would take this party seriously because it was ‘only’ a graduation,” Hamouie told The Huffington Post. “I wanted to convey that this milestone is a huge deal for me, and I thought the best way to do that would be by pretending to marry my degree.”

Ultimate Toothpaste Guide: All You Need to Know to Maintain a Healthy Smile
On the surface, toothpaste seems easy to decipher. Just grab a tube and go. But with the ever growing number of choices out there is it really that cut and dry?

 Let’s find out…

There was a time when people did not have proper oral hygiene due to the lack of technology for cleaning the teeth. Most of the times, they were just using their hands to remove anything that stays on their teeth.
Eventually, they started using chalk powder. Egg shells, pumice and other objects that are easily found were used for cleaning the teeth. If you take a look back at those times, you might say that you are lucky enough to have modern toothpaste available.

Brushing your teeth is really easy. In fact, at this point in time, you no longer have an excuse for not having clean and white teeth. You can also visit your dentist every now and then for full cleaning and teeth whitening.

Gone were the days when cleaning the teeth was such a difficult task. Just make sure you choose the right toothpaste for your teeth. Some of them were designed to whiten the teeth. Others were created for people with sensitive teeth. Those who easily suffer from toothache just by eating something cold or sweet have sensitive teeth.

Choosing the right toothpaste is essential. Just check the infographic below for more information on buying toothpaste. If you are not satisfied with the commercial toothpaste options, you can always create one at home. As long as you brush your teeth daily, or every after meal, it would be good enough. Also don't forget to see your dentist to prevent plaque and tooth decay.
